Yesterday I realized that as a child I was rewarded for “performing” (singing and dancing) and I remember hiding when I was playing games. Like I was discouraged from “playing”. So now I think I embody that pattern in that I have to “perform a certain way” to get results and not play. So I drill myself to get tasks done and avoid play. Even playing with my kids.
